Australian residential schools aren't logically found or present in a Canadian Historical Studies class like History 30.
Rwanda, of course, could appear because Canada had some direct involvement in that particular event. Unfortunately, as a teacher I have to make decisions on what to or what not to include because of time constraints. Obviously, if you're interested in these topics read up on them on your own.
I recommend the following book by Canadian General Romeo Dallaire on the Rwanda thing (Shaking Hands with the Devil).

no, i didnt mean just in history 30 class here i meant in schools in general. For example in my other high school i took history grade 10, 11, and 12 and it was the same thing. I talked to some other people too and it seems to be the same thing all over the place....

This would be because you're studying in "Canada". You're going to get information/curricula related to the Canadian experience.
Ultimately, what you're after is a "World Issues" class. I've thought about developing a course like this but it is a ton of work.
