How could people possibly follow a man who killed 6 million people? How could Hitler have followers? Is there seriously that many corrupt people in the world? And how could it possibly be still going on now? I understand that Hitler helped the Germany economy but he did it on the backs of millions of people. How is it possible that the German people didn’t realize or put a stop to it?

You have to realize that the Nazis effectively kept the Holocaust secret until news of it became undeniable in the latter stages of the war; and because the country was at war there wasn't any way for people to peacefully dissent or denounce the German Government's actions.
Though, to be fair, Hitler didn't exactly hide his anti-Semitism in the 1930s. In many respects, his popularity and hold on the German people depended upon the lies he told about Jews and their so-called "strangle hold" over the economy and German nation.
Hitler provides a sobering lesson, in that, his popularity and ascent to power are due to his using mass persuasion techniques and propaganda. This is one of the reasons I try to encourage you guys to think, think, think. Don't be satisfied with the easy answers.
There's a saying, e.g. The more ignorant you are of something the more certain you will be that you are right whereas the better you know something the less certain you will become. Ponder that if you in fact ever read this.
