World War II turned into a total war and that means that everyone is contributing someway to support the troops. Clothing stores were now making uniforms for soldiers, people were rationing everything. Even some of the women went to the work force to take the jobs of the men so they could go and fight. The total unemployment percent was even at a record breaking low. I'm surprised how much everyone supported the troops and worked together for their country. Was this happening in every country, all over the world?

Yes. However, "total war" as you say did not come to Germany until relatively late in the war. Hitler wanted to shelter/insulate Germans from the negative effects of the war to prevent what happened to the German military and society during World War I.
