World war 1 was one of the bloodiest wars. After the war was over how did countries clean up? People got sick after gas poisonings, the trench lifestyle and there were alot diseases going around. Decaying bodies would only make this worse- adding insects and smells. What did people do to help/fix this problem?

I suppose it was a case of "dust to dust". Bodies that decay eventually rot away and leave nutrients in the soil.
In terms of dead soldiers, the majority likely ended up in graves (or mass graves). I don't think it was too much of a problem to be honest. I think the artillery blasts, craters, etc. were likely more of an issue to overcome (that and rebuilding towns/cities).
