I found it interesting in our notes that Canadians overcharged the British for much needed munitions. I'm impressed that they were gutsy enough to do that, especially since the British were so controlling over Canada. I feel that since Canada was supplying the British with all these supplies they should get something out of it. Canada was forced into the war just because Britain joined, so why not profit a little bit. My question is, why did the Canadians stop the overcharging, why didnt they just stop providing munitions, make the British miss them?

The reason people/politicians had a problem with over-charging the English was it was an unpatriotic and dishonorable thing to do to the Mother Country. I.e. Canadian businessmen were taking advantage of the situation.
