I have been reading thru the text book a lil in my spare time, & I haven't seen even one mention of Tommy Douglas' contributions to Canadian society. I looked in the index, the appropiate chapter, the glossary of terms, & not even his name was written in there somewhere. Honestly, do the publishers have something against Mr. Douglas, or is his contribution to the development of Canada "too irrelevant" to our history?

Hmmm, Tommy Douglas should appear somewhere in either chapters 10 or 11 (next unit). I'm sure he's in there somewhere.

I read the chapters, they contained information of Mr. Douglas' era (i.e. the 1930s), but not on the man himself, nor his contributions.
Honestly, if i wrote that text, i would at least include a section of a chapter on how life in the 1930s was extremely difficult, & how Douglas has been campaigning for the government to give every Canadian citizen free access to at least basic health care; despite allegations of radical socialism by the governing body @ that time. He made an important contribution to Canadian society, a HUGE 1 @ that.
