I think that Laura's famous act of patriotism doesn't go unnoticed.. When the Americans went into her home, they ordered her to make dinner for them. While the Americans were in the other room, Laura overheard them talking about Invading Canada through Beaver Dams. Her husband was recently injured at Queenston Heights, so she took action and was going to take the message to Fitzgibben herself. That was a pretty heroic thing to do in my opinion. She was a very outgoing, kind, and brave woman. I don't think many woman would have the guts to do that..
