This blog has two parts to it. First, in reading 4.0 it says that the native people had two choices, “they could either join the Americans and forget their culture and traditions or they could collectively resist American expansion.” Were there ever any natives who joined the Americans? or were they just a part of the Indian Confederacy or neutral?

Members of the Six Nations (Iroquois Confederacy) actively supported the Americans. I'm not sure about other groups but I think it's arguable the so-called "civilized" tribes supported the Americans, i.e. Choctaw, Cherokee, etc.
