The Battle of Tippecanoe took place in the year 1811. While Tecumseh was trying to expand his alliance system he left his brother in charge of the confederacy. Tecumseh did not want the "Prophet" to fight the Americans. The Americans wanted to take over Prophetstown so when they found out that Tecumseh had left for a bit they took that moment to attack Prophetstown. American wanted to settle in Indiana which was where Prophetstown was located. William Harrison was the man who led the American army against the Indians in this battle. This would have been helpful in their want to achieve Manifest Destiny. Manifest Destiny was the belief that the entire North American continent was destined to be controlled a a single people other words, the Americans. Obviously Manifest Destiny was not a success; Americans have their country now that they rule over with a president, they initially wanted Canada, the entire North American content as their own. Is this all correct I'm not entirely sure I have my facts straight with this battle.
