In reading 2.1 you I read about the cunning and elusive Pierre de Troyes. I thought it was very impressive when he lead a French expedition 400 miles to James Bay in the dead of winter. What i didn't understand was how De Troyes and his men captured 3 different forts if they were so exhausted. I know that these forts had no guards, but the people in these forts were well rested and probably had a abundance of weapons to help defend themselves. Were the British really this disorganized? Or was it that De Troyes was just that smart and cunning?
