Between the years of 1760-1763 Quebec appointed a man that had no knowledge of the military itself but only because he spoke French fluently. Quebec worried about starting up a government because of the fear of a reappearance of a colony to the seven year war. They did not want to start up a permanent government in fear they may have to change things in Quebec if they were going to revert to France. My question is why they would spend more time worrying about the seven year war and maybe finding a governor that actually knew what he was doing in the military area. It was said that the French were very hard working people and very true to there people. So someone please tell me what exactly did the other colonies want? Their land? Apparently back in the day people did not know how to get along or anything. So what changed over the centuries that couldn’t have changed back then?

1760. You're talking of Governor Murray then? He was fluent in French and also a competent military man I think. He was the aide de camp (assistant) to Amherst I think. Hmmm, I suppose a person could check out the biography of Murray on the website for the exact details....
The English wanted the French to go bye bye. The French had for over a hundred years hemmed in the American colonies using a network of forts in the interior of North America.
People didn't get along back then and they continue not to get along all that well today. Do a quick look at the news and you'll find stories about wars, massacres, genocides, etc. etc. We haven't changed as a specie that much if at all. What has changed is the first world nations, i.e. USA, France, Germany, etc. don't fight each other because they all have nukes.
